He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology with a degree in Machine Technology. Since 1985 he has worked as an building services design engineer in the United Kingdom. In 1989 he became the project manager at Roger Preston & Partners. Co-founder of the RP + K engineering and consulting company, later transformed into Roger Preston Polska. He has co-authored a numerous engineering projects in the areas of building services, installations and technical systems for office buildings, industrial facilities and public infrastructure in the UK, Poland, Germany, China and the Gulf States. In the years 2002-2006 he is the head of the Steering Committee the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
In recent years, he has been involved with application of GIS technology for investment planning.
